THE COURSE
The 42km Merino Muster. From the stadium, around Highlander, into Mary's trail, then out onto Hanging Valley, across Musterers Flat to Meadow hut. They then head back through Tranquillity onto the Top of the Loop and back to the Snow Farm Base. Through the lap lane beside the Finish structure to Mary's trail then, 2006, hanging Valley across Musterers flat to the Meg hut, through Tranquillity along the Top of the Loop back to the Snow Farm base area to the finish area to receive your medal

Cut offs:
Cut off for the (Loop2) of the 42km Merino Muster is 12:00pm (Assuming a 9:00 am start). It is designed to give skiers six hours to complete the Merino Muster. We will be flexible with this time depending on weather conditions and apparent health of the skier. Our mission is to support skiers to complete the course. Should a skier not complete the 42 km course due to failing to make the cut off time for whatever reason we will allocate a 21km time but not a podium finish and will have a special category.

Muster
Mustering is the process of herding sheep to places that you want them to go. The Snow Farm land was home to the Merino Sheep prior to being retired from grazing.
The sheep are mustered for from the high country in May to graze on the lower country during the winter months. The Merino Muster is keeping the tradition alive _ celebrate with us.
There are no sheep or sheep dogs entered in the event.
